Preschools
Formally know as Franklin County Head Start, First Start Partnerships for Children & Families has two preschools in the Tuscarora School District; one in Mercersburg Elementary and St. Thomas Elementary. Children who are three by September 1 can attend preschool until they enter Kindergarten. The school day is from 8:00 - 1:30pm and breakfast/lunch is included (no charge). The preschool classes are designed to promote the development of children and prepare them for kindergarten.
