Food Service



Welcome to the Tuscarora Food Service Program

We offer our students a delicious and nutritious breakfast and lunch each day! We contract with Metz Culinary Management to operate our food service program. Please use the links to the right to access the monthly menus, add funds to your student's lunch account, or complete an application for free and reduced lunch.
Metz Culinary Management (cafeteria) is now hiring for summer 2021 help and for the 21-22 school year. If interested, fill out the Metz Food Service Application above and return to James Buchanan High School or email to ma1075@metzcorp.com .
Healthy Snacks and Treats
Celebrate Your Child's Special Day with Healthy Options. In accordance to our wellness policy, healthy party treats are encouraged. Healthy treats and snacks can be ordered through each school cafeteria. Please see the attached form for details.

PLEASE NOTE-once your student is back as an in-person student, they will no longer be able to receive meals through the cyber link below (Wednesday afternoon pick-ups from 3:30-4:30pm). Those meals are for fully remote students and community members 0-18 years. Weekend meals will be given to cyber/community members starting the weekend of Feb 6-7.

NEW**** Starting with the February 3rd pick-up, families will receive 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches for each child they sign up. This new handout amount will now cover breakfast and lunch for Saturdays and Sundays. No need to do anything different. Just sign up at the link below.  

---Pick-up will be on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30pm at James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg Elementary, or St Thomas Elementary.  

---Children will receive meals (7 free breakfasts and 7 free lunches) for consumption on days Thursday-Wednesday.  

---All community members’ ages 0-18 years are eligible.

****Parents must fill out the survey each week to receive these meals. A weekly reminder set up in your cell phone is highly recommended. It is hard to add meals once the survey is closed.




Attention Parents of IN-PERSON students :

NEW*** Starting the week of February 1st, we will be offering take home meals for both remote Wednesdays and for weekends. Students will sign up at school on February 4th. Once they sign up, they will NOT need to sign up again. They will automatically receive the take home meals for Wednesdays, weekends and any Mondays we have off. 

Tuesday's take home = 1 breakfast and 1 lunch for consumption on Wednesday

Friday's take home = 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches for consumption on Saturday and Sunday


To sign up:

Elementary: students had a sign-up sheet in their classrooms on Friday January 29th. Meals will be delivered to classrooms at the end of the day on Tuesdays and Fridays. email ann.lewis@tus.k12.pa.us to be added to this list.


Middle School: students will sign up Thursday Feb 4th in the cafeteria at their lunch time. Meals will be handed out Tuesdays and Fridays in last period.


High School Parents: students will fill out an online order in homeroom on Thursday Feb 4th if they would like take home meals. They will pick them up in the office or hall by the library (depending on participation numbers) on their way out to their buses on Tuesdays and Fridays.


FOR MONDAYS THAT WE HAVE OFF: Students who signed up will also receive a breakfast and lunch to take home on the Thursday before that Monday, as well as the normal Tuesday and Friday take homes.
