Curriculum & Instruction
At the heart of the Tuscarora School District, the Curriculum & Instruction Department is fueled by a bold, visionary purpose: to ignite curiosity, inspire lifelong learning, and empower every student to unleash their full potential. Guided by a passion for excellence and an unwavering commitment to equity, our department builds dynamic, innovative learning pathways that go beyond traditional classrooms. We don't just teach subjects—we cultivate critical thinkers, compassionate leaders, and confident problem-solvers who are equipped to thrive in an ever-changing world. By empowering our dedicated educators with cutting-edge tools, collaborative strategies, and rich instructional resources, we transform ordinary lessons into transformative experiences. Together, we are shaping a future where every learner’s path is illuminated, every talent is nurtured, and every goal is well within reach!
Through collaboration and professional inquiry, our teachers seek to answer four key questions:
- What do we expect students to learn?
- How will we measure what they are learning?
- How do we respond to students who are not learning?
- How do we respond to students who are learning?
By responding to these questions within a professional learning community engaged in an ongoing cycle of continuous improvement, we will realize our mission to "Empower All Students for Their Unlimited Next"!
